Abstract

High-quality development is of great significance for leading economic development in the new era. This paper takes Chinese manufacturing listed companies from 2012 to 2021 as a sample, constructs a high-quality development evaluation index system for manufacturing enterprises based on six dimensions: overall labor productivity, net profit, total profit, operating income profit ratio, asset-liability ratio, and R&D investment intensity, and selects digital transformation and risk-taking to build a parallel mediation model. The study finds that entrepreneurial spirit can promote the high-quality development of manufacturing enterprises, and digital transformation plays a partial mediating role in the relationship between entrepreneurial spirit and high-quality development of manufacturing enterprises, while risk-taking has a masking effect in this process.
