Abstract

This study investigates the influence of Artificial Intelligence (AI) implementation on corporate governance performance in both public and private entities in Saudi Arabia, following the strategic objectives of Saudi Vision 2030. Utilizing the Technology-Organization-Environment (TOE) framework, the study examines the impact of AI adoption on decision-making efficiency, transparency, and regulatory compliance, which are essential aspects of corporate governance. Data was gathered through a standardized questionnaire distributed to governance professionals, managers, and board members of firms involved in Vision 2030. The investigation utilizes Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) in SmartPLS to assess direct and mediated effects. The results indicate that the application of AI significantly improves governance performance. Artificial intelligence enhances decision-making efficiency and transparency, essential for better governance results. The mediating function of decision-making efficiency and transparency underscores how AI adoption enhances governance procedures. These findings highlight the innovative capacity of AI in tackling governance issues and aligning organizational practices with the goals of Vision 2030. This study enhances the literature by addressing contextual deficiencies in emerging economies, offering practical insights for policymakers and organizational leaders to utilize AI for governance excellence in Saudi Arabia.
