- Abstract
Episodic memory is defined as the ability to recall events in the context of a specific time and place. The goal of this research is to explore the possibility of engineering current events to be projected into the future. Episodic memory involves certain emotions, so it can be studied through the approaches of neuroscience, psychology, philosophy, and there are even possibilities from the field of education. In particular, Christian Religious Education (CRE) for adolescents. It is possible to study and explore this, because existing research has not shown much correlation between neuroscience and adolescent CRE. Efforts to do so realize this will be explored in this article. The first step is to research and then review six journal articles that discuss episodic memory work, and then review them. The key to this study is the realization that new experiences can be the starting point of new knowledge, because cognitively, learning is a process of experiencing changes in perception and understanding. Everyone has experiences that form the basis of their thinking, especially during adolescence, which is the age of transition from childhood to adulthood. This thinking is the source of behavior and behavior shapes the human identity. As a result, episodic memory has the potential to be developed and internalized by adolescent learners through the enrichment of learning experiences.
