The 2025 7th International Conference on Civil Architecture and Urban Engineering (ICCAUE 2025) was held in Guiyang, China, from October 31 to November 2, 2025. Experts and scholars from various universities, research institutions, and engineering organizations gathered at the conference. As an academic exchange platform adhering to an open, inclusive, and innovative academic philosophy, ICCAUE 2025 facilitated in-depth discussions on disciplinary frontiers and key engineering topics, while promoting theoretical innovation, technological breakthroughs, and the advancement of industry-university-research integration in the field of civil architecture and urban engineering.

Keynote speeches at the conference focused on the core industrial topics, ranging from the seismic safety of high-speed train operations on bridges and key technologies for foam concrete embankments in frozen soil regions to the advancement of autonomous vehicles and traffic flow optimization. These speeches effectively addressed critical challenges in transportation infrastructure construction and provided theoretical support for the safe and efficient implementation of major engineering projects. The oral presentations covered a broader array of research dimensions, including in-depth studies on traditional building materials and structures such as dealkalized red mud-reinforced cement-based composites and geotextile permeability performance, as well as research on intelligent engineering monitoring and exploration in green building design by leveraging Transformer models, 3D modeling, and BIM technology. Furthermore, these presentations tackled prominent engineering and technical challenges, including rock riprap foundation detection in marine areas and settlement monitoring of immersed tube tunnels. Aligned with the national strategies of the Dual Carbon Goals and rural revitalization, the presentations also involved in-depth research on urban and rural construction issues, such as building energy efficiency in cold regions and the retrofitting of rural passive ecological dwellings. All the research outcomes realized the organic integration of cutting-edge technologies with engineering practices, and of national strategies with local development.

The publication of these proceedings serves as a medium to foster and disseminate academic exchange in this field. All papers included in this collection feature rich content, reliable data, sound methodologies derived from scientific research and engineering practice, fully embodying the rigorous and pragmatic spirit of academic inquiry. We believe that these explorations—rooted in real-world scenarios and addressing global challenges—will provide substantial and insightful perspectives for advancing knowledge accumulation, technological progress, and paradigm renewal in civil architecture and urban engineering. We hope this proceedings volume will act as a bridge connecting insights to actions, theory to practice, and the present to the future.

We extend our sincere gratitude to all guests, authors, reviewers, and conference staff who have devoted their diligent efforts to this conference. We look forward to global peers continuing to deepen academic exchanges and collaborative research, jointly driving the high-quality development of civil architecture and urban engineering, and contributing their academic expertise to the sustainable development of global urban and rural construction.
