Abstract

In the modern era, continuing translucency and fairness is a main way to secure a voting process in educational institutions. Traditional voting is a basic parliamentary pursuit; experts have a feeling that using paper in balloting is the only procedure to ensure everyone votes; however, this procedure is open to mistakes and security issues, including vote manipulation, etc. To overcome this disadvantage, we include blockchain technology. Students cast votes firmly under one-person-one-vote authentication via a transparent fraud-proof solution provided by this system with total obscurity. A decentralized ledger with tamper-proof characteristics records votes quite securely ensuring verifiability and anonymity simultaneously in a rather robust manner. Blockchain cryptographic features ostensibly ensure data remains unaltered and pretty much immune from hacking attempts or unauthorized snooping. Voters can cast votes online via sleek digital portal and smart contracts validate votes and compute results quite accurately thereby reducing human error. This project aims at fostering transparent electoral process within educational institutions by introducing blockchain-based online voting slowly paving way for adoption elsewhere. Students receive a winning certificate upon completion of voting process and their details get sent pretty quickly to respected Email address afterwards.
