Optimized 2-Port MIMO Antenna Design for Enhanced 5G NR FR-1 Band Performance in Urban Environments

- Abstract
In order to improve the isolation, diversity, and efficiency of a specially designed MIMO antenna for 5G-NR FR-1 Bands N78/77/48, this study aims to optimize the previously listed characteristics. The dielectric substance Rt/duroid is now being used in place of Rogers RO3003. 5870, whose dielectric constant is lower. The antenna has been modified to improve the TARC, ECC, DG, and MEG characteristics. A T-shaped defective ground stone, parasitic decoupling structures, and grounding branches to lessen coupling between antennas are the main decoupling strategies. Rt/duroid 5870 maximizes these diversity factors, allowing the antenna to be smaller for 5G deployments in dense metropolitan areas. The changes were made to improve performance over the specified frequency range in order to produce better isolation, larger ranges of variation performance, and better matching of the impedance.
