Abstract

Optimal dance studio interior design requires special attention to the acoustic aspects of the room. This study aims to design an interior of dance studio by considering the use of materials that can dampen sound and regulate the acoustics of the room. Good acoustic quality is essential to create a comfortable environment for dancers, reduce noise from outside, and maximize the quality of sound produced in the room during practice. The research method used is qualitative descriptive, theoretical data obtained from books, scientific journals and website. Empirical data obtained through direct observations of acoustic elements in the dance studio. This study analyzes the characteristics of acoustic materials, such as rockwool, gypsum board, vinyl, and acoustic panels, which are used on ceilings, walls, and floors to create an ideal atmosphere. The results of the study indicate that choosing the right acoustic material can reduce echo and increase sound comfort in the room, which has a direct impact on the quality of dance practice. By considering the acoustic aspects in the interior design of a dance studio, it is expected to create a space that supports comfort, optimal sound quality, and concentration of dancers in practicing. This study provides guidance for interior designers in designing interior of dance studios with efficient acoustic settings.
