Abstract

Teacher professional organizations play a crucial role in enhancing human resource development in the education sector. This study employs a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) methodology to examine the contributions of professional organizations to teacher competency, policy advocacy, and knowledge-sharing. Using Google Scholar and ScienceDirect, 23 relevant studies were analyzed following the PRISMA framework. The findings reveal that professional organizations provide structured training, mentorship, and collaborative networks that enhance teacher effectiveness. Additionally, they play a vital role in shaping education policies and promoting professional learning communities. However, challenges such as limited institutional support and unequal access to professional development persist. The study highlights the need for strategic investments in professional organizations to expand their impact on education systems. Future research should explore the integration of digital platforms in professional organizations and assess their long-term effects on student performance. Strengthening these organizations will contribute to sustainable teacher development, ultimately improving education quality worldwide.
