Abstract

Creativity is a crucial skill for elementary school students, significantly impacting their cognitive, emotional, and social development. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of various teaching strategies in enhancing student creativity in art education. A systematic literature review was conducted, synthesizing findings from peer-reviewed studies to identify key pedagogical methods, technological integrations, and challenges in fostering creative learning environments. The study adopts a qualitative approach, utilizing content analysis to examine themes related to project-based learning, collaborative activities, and digital tools such as virtual reality and graphic design software. The results indicate that these strategies significantly enhance student engagement and artistic expression. However, limited teacher training, inadequate institutional support, and rigid assessment models hinder the full realization of creativity-focused education. Addressing these barriers necessitates systemic reforms, including professional development programs, increased digital resource accessibility, and a shift toward process-oriented assessment frameworks. The study underscores the need for a balanced approach that integrates structured pedagogical strategies with technological advancements while overcoming systemic constraints. Future research should explore the long-term impact of creative pedagogies and the role of emerging technologies in art education. By fostering an environment that prioritizes creativity, interdisciplinary learning, and innovation, elementary school art education can serve as a foundation for developing future generations of creative thinkers and problem-solvers.
