Abstract

Today, technological developments are increasingly advanced, many school children are busy with online games, resulting in a lack of student responsibility in their school environment, such as what happened at Madrasah Aliyah Alkhairaat, Gorontalo City, that one of the programs implemented by the Madrasah is the Tahfidz Program which aims to produce students who are able to memorize the Qur’an and practice it, but in the process of this Tahfidz program which has entered its 3rd year, it turns out that there are still some students who have memorized the Qur’an, but among them there are still those who like to come late to the Madrasah, sometimes wearing school uniforms that do not comply with the provisions, skipping school even though some of them live in the Madrasah dormitory and around the Madrasah environment. The implications of this Tahfidz program must be seen from every activity carried out in the Madrasah environment, such as the formation of the character of responsibility of students, because the indicators of responsibility can be seen from (1) Discipline in using time effectively, and (2) Obeying the Rules at School (Rahayu 2016) in Ulya Z. S. et al [14].
