Abstract

One of the efforts taken to improve the quality of education in Indonesia is to increase teacher competence in the field of teaching and learning. Producing professional teachers by equipping prospective teachers to master teaching skills. Prospective teachers in this case include Pre-Service PPG students who are prepared to become professional teachers. The purpose of this writing is to find out and describe the perceptions of PPG Pre-service students regarding the application of questioning skills. The method in this writing is a survey method with a descriptive approach. The results found that the perception of PPG Pre-service students regarding the application of questioning skills with mastery of basic teaching skills in PPL 1 Makassar City activities, includes the categories: understanding of questioning skills, understanding of questioning skills, and quality of questioning skills. In each category containing 5 questions, each of them received a high score with the conclusion that the three categories were mastered by PPG Pre-service students as prospective professional teachers. Finally, the recommendations in this writing include: (1) there needs to be a deeper understanding regarding questioning skills as part of the mastery of basic teaching skills to be internalized in learning, and (2) so that the internalization of mastery of questioning skills can be successful, it is necessary to choose a method precise and planned.
