Abstract

This research ims to model the effect of teacher stress on teacher wellbeing in Indonesian teachers through moderation of demographics. This quantitative causality approach was used to examine the influence of the variables. Participants in this research were 759 junior and senior high school teachers from all over Indonesia who were actively conducting learning activities in 2023. The data analysis used is Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) to examine the influence and interaction of variables. The results revealed that teacher stress has a significant influence on teacher wellbeing. The addition of gender and age can be an additional predictive power in influencing teacher wellbeing, but gender and age are not moderator variables and do not provide interactions with teacher stress in providing effects on teacher wellbeing. This finding is expected to have implications for teacher wellbeing. Well-managed teacher welfare can help Indonesia realize quality education and become a child-friendly school. This research is also expected to provide scientific contributions to improve wellbeing in teachers in Indonesia.
