Abstract

Physical education is one area of learning in schools that has an important role in improving the health and quality of life of students and Physical education is This research presents an inclusive career application design that is able to support people with disabilities in mapping out career plans and providing recommendations for the skills they need to master. This research is structured as a design-based research (DBR) approach. This research presents the results of the first cycle of design-based research. The research follows a five-step process: (1) analysis, (2) design, (3) development, (4) implementation, and (5) evaluation. Research focus on analysis steps to application development. The analysis stage identifies the types & characteristics of disabilities as target users as well as disability career problems using the ‘career tree’ instrument in a semi-structured interview format. At the design stage, flowcharts and storyboards are created according to the display plan and workflow of the application to be developed. At the development stage, an application is made as a pilot study in prototype form. The prototype application was then tested for feasibility by a team of experts consisting of instructional technology, inclusive technology, counseling guidance, career counselors and special education. The pilot study application will be implemented for people with disabilities in the deaf, blind and physically impaired categories. The career application provides career trend analysis results that help people with disabilities understand their interests and talents in various fields of work.
