Abstract

Around the world, the COVID-19 pandemic has had a huge impact on national economies, and governments have adopted different economic policy measures to deal with the challenge. This article explores the impact of economic policies adopted by countries during the COVID-19 pandemic on their economic back effects. This paper collects economic data from many countries around the world, including economic indicators such as GPA, CPI, and import and export transaction volume. At the same time, it sorts out economic policy measures adopted by countries in response to COVID-19, such as fiscal stimulus, monetary easing, employment protection policies, etc. Aiming at these policy measures, this paper makes a comprehensive analysis on the time, scale and effect of their implementation. In this paper, several typical countries such as the United States, China and France are selected, and their economic policies and after-effects are analyzed. The conclusions are as follows: Those countries that have implemented aggressive fiscal stimulus and flexible monetary policies tend to have stronger economic recoveries. In addition, the after-effects of policies vary among countries, with some countries’ policies still playing a positive role in the post-pandemic period, while others face challenges and adjustment needs, such as inflation and excessively loose monetary policies. The research results of this paper have certain application value and reference significance for understanding the differences in policy implementation and effects in different countries and coping with similar challenges in the future.
