Abstract

The expansion of platform enterprises has transformed the logic of competition in service industries. Digital firms no longer compete only through pricing and technological infrastructure. Their long term performance increasingly depends on governance capability, ecosystem coordination, and the ability to sustain user trust during periods of market turbulence. This study investigates the managerial adaptation of a regional food delivery platform that operated under intense competitive pressure from multinational platform corporations between 2021 and 2025. Instead of emphasizing technological disruption alone, the paper analyzes how organizational governance, merchant coordination, and local operational flexibility contributed to business continuity and market stabilization. A qualitative case analysis is employed to examine the interaction among platform strategy, merchant participation, customer retention, and operational redesign. The findings indicate that sustainable platform development was associated with four interconnected managerial mechanisms including localized relationship governance, adaptive service standardization, digital coordination capability, and ecosystem based value redistribution. The study contributes to management research by demonstrating that platform resilience is not exclusively determined by capital scale or algorithmic dominance. Relational coordination and operational legitimacy remain essential for sustainable competitive performance in regional digital markets.
