- Abstract
This research paper examines how digital transformation has affected the export performance of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) operating within emerging markets while focusing on the mediating influence of innovation capability. Employing a quantitative survey method with a sample size of 280 and SPSS analysis, this research demonstrates that organisational readiness contributes to digital adoption. Additionally, the research provides evidence that digital transformation directly affects business export intensity and that innovation capability plays a key role in mediating this relationship. In concluding the study, the authors speculate that SMEs will need to convert their technological investments into strategic innovation capacities in order to achieve sustainable global competitiveness as the world becomes increasingly digitised and competitive.
