- Abstract
This paper studies the problem of minors’ addiction to electronic game top-up, which has great social repercussion. On the basis of combing out the current situation, the behavioral economics theory is employed with a case analysis. Reasons for addiction include the misunderstanding of payment isolation, the obsession with small probability events, and the cognitive solidification of reference dependence. In order to construct a reasonable consumption system of electronic games for minors, specific policy suggestions are put forward from the perspective of family, school, society, and community governance. It is expected to provide theoretical support for the standardized development and policy formulation of the game industry, reduce prospective negative impacts, and promote the development of a more healthy and sustainable game culture.
