- Abstract
This paper examines the impact of economic development on education support in the United States and China, focusing on the challenges faced by both countries in terms of educational equity and quality. The study compares the different patterns of education funding and resource allocation in the two countries, taking into account factors such as government spending, fiscal policy, and regional differences. Through a review of existing literature, statistical reports, and comparative analyses, the thesis identifies key differences in how economic growth affects the education system. The findings suggest that while both countries have made great strides in improving the quality of education, they both face different challenges. The United States struggles with regional funding gaps and inequality among minority groups, while China struggles with urban-rural disparities and a test-centered education system. The paper concludes that both countries must strengthen financial support, innovate policies, and reduce resource imbalances to improve educational equity and quality.
