- Abstract
In recent years, with the increasing awareness of environmental protection among people, the new energy vehicle industry is gradually emerging. What investors in automotive industry concern most is how to invest in a wisdom way to reduce risks. This study intends to analyze financial performance of Tesla and BYD and give investment advice in new energy vehicle industry. Case study and comparative analysis are employed as two main methods to achieve above objectives. Liquidity ability, asset management ability, solvency ability and profitability is adopted as four main ratios to identify Tesla and BYD’s financial performance at present and their future development. Research has found that Tesla’s financial and risk situation is superior to BYD’s, and both Tesla and BYD have broad development potential in the future. This study analyzes the ratio data and operation performance of two representative companies in new energy vehicle industry and generates guiding significance for investment in the new energy vehicle industry.
