- Abstract
The digital transformation of rural finance has become a key initiative to boost competitiveness and drive rural revitalization. However, the rural credit system faces numerous challenges in this process, including weakened competitive advantage, limited product offerings, lack of a digital strategy, and data management issues. These challenges restrict rural financial institutions from expanding service coverage, reducing financing costs, and improving capital utilization efficiency. This paper uses Guangxi’s rural credit system as a case study, suggesting that a balanced approach between unified and decentralized corporate models, along with the development of a provincial digital platform and unified service portal, can enhance the precision and efficiency of financial services. Existing practices indicate that accelerating branch digital transformation, building standardized digital platforms, and improving data management capabilities can significantly raise service quality.
