Abstract

The development of virtual campus tours has become a vital tool in enhancing the accessibility and engagement of higher educational institutions for prospective students and visitors. By offering an interactive, immersive experience, these tours allow users to explore campus facilities remotely, bridging the constraints in onsite visits. This study focuses on the development of a virtual campus tour for Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State College – Main campus. Descriptive and developmental methods were used as the study involved survey and software development. The researcher employed the Agile Extreme Programming approach in software development then identified a total of 175 respondents through random sampling technique for the user acceptability evaluation. Data gathered from the unstructured interviews revealed the dynamic infrastructural development of the institution along with other relevant information and its rich historical significance. Evaluated using ISO/IEC 25010:2011, the developed system exhibited very high acceptability with an overall mean rating of 4.88 signifying that the system excels in every aspect of software quality evaluation. While full implementation of the system is considered, the development of new features adhering to industry standards may be explored to improve the system’s overall functionality and future-proofing.
