- Abstract
Well-structured learning materials can enhance students’ understanding. However, the teaching of lathe machining techniques is still often delivered through conventional methods, such as printed textbooks and lectures. This has resulted in students’ learning outcomes falling below the minimum standard. This study aims to develop and assess the effectiveness of a problem-based e-module in improving student learning outcomes in lathe machining techniques at Vocational School Magetan. The research subjects consisted of 64 tenth-grade students majoring in Machining Techniques at SMK in Magetan. This study is a Research and Development (R&D) project focused on developing a problem-based e-module. The development model adapted in this study is the Alessi and Trolip media development model, which consists of planning, design, and development stages. Data collection for media validation was carried out using questionnaires and pretest-posttest sheets to measure the improvement in students’ learning outcomes. The results indicated that learning with the problem-based e-module is more effective than conventional methods or classes that do not use problem-based e-modules.
