- Abstract
Since its inception in 2013, the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) has gradually become an important strategy for promoting economic cooperation between China and the countries along the BRI route. With the implementation of the policy, an increasing number of companies have become involved in the BRI, and their investment behavior and efficiency have become key areas of interest in academia. This paper aims to exploring whether the BRI policy can effectively enhance corporate investment efficiency and reduce the phenomena of underinvestment and overinvestment. Through panel regression modeling, this study systematically analyzes the impact of the BRI policy on corporate investment efficiency based on investment data from companies in BRI countries. The significance of this research lies in providing empirical evidence for policy optimization and implementation, as well as offering feasible recommendations for improving corporate investment efficiency. This study provides new perspectives and insights for both corporate investment decision-making and macroeconomic policy formulation.
