- Abstract
The role of China's green finance in promoting rural revitalization is becoming increasingly significant. This article aims to comprehensively assess its impact and mechanisms, and explore possible paths for improvement. Through a systematic review of relevant studies, this paper highlights the crucial responsibilities that green finance plays in encouraging the growth of green industries in rural areas, ecological environmental protection, rural infrastructure construction, and increasing farmers’ income. Innovations in green finance products, such as green credit, green insurance, and green bonds, have provided strong financial support for rural green development and also encouraged the participation of social capital. However, there are still many challenges in practical implementation, such as inadequating risk assessment mechanisms, difficulties in the identification and selection of green projects, and insufficient financial literacy among farmers and enterprises. To overcome these shortcomings, policy measures should strengthen the development of green finance regulations. Financial institutions need to enhance the design and management of green finance products while also strengthening rural financial education to improve financial awareness and skills among farmers and enterprises. In the future, further exploration of the deep integration models of green finance and rural revitalization is needed to achieve sustainable economic, social, and environmental development in rural areas.
