- Abstract
This study explores the strategy of portfolio optimization through the Markowitz model and the index model, using Costco as an example to analyze the relationship between portfolio performance and corporate development. The findings suggest that effective portfolio optimization can not only help investors maximize returns while minimizing risks but also reflect the intrinsic value and operational performance of the companies involved. In the case of Costco, the analysis reveals that a well-optimized portfolio accurately reflects the company’s growth potential and market performance. These results demonstrate that portfolio optimization is not just a tool for financial gain but also a way to evaluate and track an enterprise’s strategic success and market position. The study provides valuable insights for developing corporate strategies as well as offers important reference points for investors and market analysts. It helps them make informed decisions by combining a comprehensive risk-return analysis with an understanding of the company’s underlying value and long-term prospects.
