Abstract

In contemporary times, the world is facing a series of issues, such as environmental crisis, energy crisis, and employment problems, making sustainable development a focal point for all sectors of society. As an important economic pillar in many cities, the tourism industry is vital in achieving a balance between its economic development, environmental protection, and social welfare. As a well-known tourist city, Sanya has attracted many tourists through its unique natural scenery. However, at the same time, excessive tourism development has also brought various environmental and ecological problems to Sanya, seriously affecting the local sustainable development. These challenges require us to re-plan The Tourism Development Model of Sanya City to ensure its sustainable development. This study aims to explore the tourism design and planning strategies of Sanya City from the perspective of sustainable development. By analyzing the tourism resources and environment of Sanya City, practical and feasible tourism design and planning strategies are proposed to promote its sustainable development, thereby helping Sanya's tourism industry better achieve harmonious development of economy, society, and environment.
