- Abstract
In response to various issues currently present in online education, such as poor interactivity, inadequate sensory experience for students’ learning, and monotonous and dull teaching web pages, this paper analyzes and studies the construction of virtual laboratories under the context of educational metaverse, taking the Industrial Engineering Laboratory of Nanjing Institute of Technology as an example. Combining the existing experimental equipment and materials in the laboratory with experimental courses, Unity3D and 3Ds Max technologies are used to model and layout the equipment. By integrating C# programming language and database technology, functions such as dynamic browsing of laboratory scenes, interaction between virtual and real scenes, user interface customization, and efficient inventory data management for entry and exit are realized. This provides students with vivid online sensory experiences and experimental practices, thereby improving the effectiveness of teaching applications.
