- Abstract
In the digital economy era, digital literacy has become a core competency essential for students in applied universities. Drawing on global research on digital literacy, this paper clarifies its essence and proposes a cultivation framework through analyzing digital literacy requirements for students’ learning, innovation, and career development. The framework comprises five dimensions: “digital technology application skills, information filtering and processing capabilities, digital innovation capacity, digital security ethics, and digital social responsibility.” Innovatively, the study introduces a “Five-Power Synergy” enhancement model featuring national policy guidance, institutional design, departmental implementation, student-teacher self-directed learning, and faculty professional leadership. This systematic and actionable approach aims to provide applied universities with a comprehensive digital literacy development solution.
