Abstract

As a place where multiple cultures converge, Shangri-La’s intangible cultural heritage (ICH) faces the dual crises of modernization and inheritance interruption. Based on the field survey conducted by the “Tibetan cultural heritage pioneer team” of Yunnan University in July 2024, this article systematically analyzes the survival status and inheritance difficulties of the four major intangible cultural heritage projects of Shangri-La’s Dongba paper, Tibetan black pottery, Thang-Ga, and Tibetan incense. Research has found that the core contradiction in the protection of intangible cultural heritage lies in the conflict between the closeness of traditional skills and the openness of modern communication. To address this issue, this article proposes a three-dimensional digital protection model of “technical restoration-communication activation-educational regeneration” and verifies its feasibility through practices such as building an intangible cultural heritage dynamic image database and developing a multilingual virtual exhibition hall. The research conclusions can provide theoretical reference for the protection of intangible cultural heritage in border ethnic areas and provide case support for the implementation of the “Digital Yunnan” strategy.
