- Abstract
With the deepening of globalization, international educational exchanges are becoming more and more frequent, and the comparative study of general education and teaching modes in different countries has become an important field of academic research. This paper aims to compare the differences in curriculum design, teaching methods and transferable skills between Peking University and Cambridge University. Peking University focuses on cultivating well-rounded talents with a solid foundation in the humanities, emphasizing moral education and critical thinking. In contrast, the undergraduate system at the University of Cambridge combines research-based teaching through tutorials, seminars, lectures and practical activities to develop students’ independent learning and research skills. This paper emphasizes that education should not only impart knowledge, but also cultivate students’ sustainable development and adaptability.
