Abstract

With the deepening of digital transformation in education, Virtual Simulation Technology (VST) is reshaping the teaching model of higher education as an intelligent teaching tool. This paper explores the current application status, challenges, and its role in promoting large-scale educational participation through field surveys and questionnaires. The study finds that VST has significant advantages in improving teaching effectiveness, expanding the scale of education, and enhancing students’ practical abilities, especially in disciplines such as medicine and engineering. However, issues such as unequal resource allocation, rapid technological updates, and insufficient teacher capabilities still restrict the widespread application of VST. Based on these findings, the paper proposes a “policy guidance-platform co-construction-teacher training” three-dimensional collaborative mechanism, aiming to provide a systematic solution for the in-depth application of VST in education. Through policy support, resource sharing, and teacher capacity building, this mechanism gives theoretical support and practical guidance for the promotion of VST, thus promoting the further development of digital transformation of education.
