Abstract

The report of the Twentieth National Congress of the CPC puts education, science and technology, and talents into a ‘three-in-one’ overall arrangement and deployment, and for the first time puts forward the important statement that ‘education, science and technology, and talents are the basic and strategic support for the comprehensive construction of a socialist modernised country’, and places it in a prominent position after ‘high-quality development’, which is the ‘primary task for the comprehensive construction of a socialist modernised country’. High-quality development is a prominent position after ‘the primary task of building a socialist modernisation country in a comprehensive manner’, which is of great strategic significance and far-reaching impact. This paper firstly analyses the CSSCI journal literature in CNKI from 2020-2023 to understand the current research status of scientific and technological innovation in China’s colleges and universities, and then divides the research of scientific and technological innovation in China’s colleges and universities into five stages by combining with national scientific and technological policies, and analyses the CSSCI literature in each stage. It can be seen that the leadership of the Communist Party of China (CPC) is the leader and guarantee for the development of the cause of science and technology innovation in colleges and universities, and in the future, we should still follow the party’s policy to promote the work related to science and technology innovation in colleges and universities in the new period.
