Abstract

As a World Intangible Cultural Heritage, Li brocade embodies the historical, artistic, and cultural essence of the Li ethnic group, yet its preservation faces challenges such as a shortage of inheritors and inefficient cultural dissemination. This paper explores innovative application pathways for large language models (LLMs) in Li brocade preservation through the lens of artificial intelligence. Leveraging the multimodal processing and semantic understanding capabilities of LLMs, three key application scenarios are proposed: pattern semantic parsing to optimize the model’s precise interpretation of Li brocade’s symbolic systems through data training; innovative design assistance to generate culturally rich solutions aligned with modern design needs; and weaving craft inheritance to preserve endangered dialect-based craftsmanship via speech recognition technology. The study demonstrates that LLMs can transcend the limitations of traditional preservation methods, enabling deep cultural exploration, living heritage preservation, and creative transformation, thereby offering intelligent solutions for intangible cultural heritage protection.
