- Abstract
FinTech is increasingly recognized as a pivotal factor in the global financial landscape, particularly in emerging economies where it holds significant promise for enhancing banking sector performance and financial inclusion. However, existing research has predominantly focused on FinTech adoption outcomes rather than the critical implementation processes underpinning project success. This study bridges this gap by investigating how project management strategies influence the successful implementation of FinTech initiatives within the banking sector of an emerging economy. Employing a quantitative research design, data were collected from 200 banking professionals across key departments using a structured questionnaire. An analysis the relationship effective FinTech uptake and factors such as Agile project management, Stakeholder governance, integrated risk management and Organisational readiness has been done and from the generated result shows the successfulness of any project in using FinTech technologies are determined primarily by how ready or open any financial institution is to its adoption and how adaptable it is. The technologies and people on any such organization in the form of it technological infrastructure and employee expertise of and the backing and support from management has influence in FinTech adoption success in the project success is highly driven by adaptability of institution due to the fact that this project management methodology promotes flexibility adaptability, team self-organizing capability and speed response, the factor associated with Risk and Stakeholder governance have favorable correlation, but the failure of they to achieve statistical significant likely show specific condition for the emerging country the condition for which include poorly organized stakeholders and ambiguity legislation on financial services.
