The 2nd International Conference on Innovations and Challenges in Financial Technology (ICICFT 2025), themed "Shaping the Future of Finance," was successfully held on 7–8 November 2025 at CMR University, OMBR Campus, Bengaluru, India. Organized by the School of Economics and Commerce (SOEC), CMR University, the conference served as an international interdisciplinary platform for academicians, researchers, industry professionals, policymakers, practitioners, and research scholars to exchange knowledge and discuss emerging developments in financial technology. The conference sought to promote collaboration across disciplines while addressing the opportunities and challenges arising from rapid technological advancements that are transforming financial systems, business practices, governance, and sustainable development.

The conference attracted enthusiastic participation from the academic and professional community. A total of 260 full-length research papers were presented across parallel technical sessions during the conference. Following an initial editorial scrutiny to assess relevance, originality, quality, and compliance with the conference guidelines, 81 manuscripts were shortlisted for peer review. These manuscripts subsequently underwent a rigorous double-blind peer-review process, with each submission being independently evaluated by at least two expert reviewers. The review process was supported by 31 reviewers from academia and industry, whose expertise ensured a fair, objective, and high-quality evaluation. Based on the reviewers' recommendations and the editorial assessment, 44 manuscripts were finally accepted for publication in the Proceedings of the 2nd International Conference on Innovations and Challenges in Financial Technology (ICICFT 2025), published in the Advances in Economics, Business and Management Research (AEBMR) series.
