- Abstract
With the continuous emergence of diverse forms of art, people tend to pursue the satisfaction of visual forms such as lines or colors. However, it is certain that no matter how the forms of artistic expression change, the creative ideas, motivations, and behaviors of artists are controlled by consciousness and subconsciousness, especially the subconscious. Dreams are the closest gateway to peeping into the human subconscious, so this paper attempts to explore and analyze the meanings of common images in dreams. This paper takes the surrealist Dalí’s work “The Persistence of Memory” as the research object to explore how such painters use illusions or dreams for artistic creation.
