Abstract

Against the backdrop of the coexistence of globalization and anti-globalization, and with sustainable development goals becoming an international consensus, the forms and mechanisms of cultural exchange are undergoing profound restructuring. 1This study takes three immersive cultural and tourism projects, namely Xi’an “Datang Ever-Bright City”, Ma’anshan “Yangtze River Ever-Bright City” and Yunlian, Sichuan “Southern Silk Road Ever-Bright City”, as cases to explore their comprehensive effects in nighttime economy, cultural inheritance, urban governance and regional coordinated development. Based on the Cultural Capital Theory and the Experience Economy Theory, this study constructs an analytical framework of “Cultural Capital - Experience Economy - Multi-subject Collaboration”, and adopts case analysis and comparative research methods to conduct a systematic analysis from three aspects: modernization of social governance, optimization of regional economic structure, and innovative expression of cultural heritage. The results show that the Ever-Bright City projects not only effectively promote local employment growth and industrial chain extension, optimize the nighttime economic structure, but also improve community participation and urban management level through a multi-subject collaborative governance model. At the cultural level, the projects take local cultural IP as the core, integrate digital technologies such as AR/VR and holographic projection to build immersive scenes, realize the modern translation and extensive dissemination of traditional culture, and significantly enhance public cultural identity and the influence of urban cultural brands. Meanwhile, these projects promote the sharing of cultural resources and market linkage among cities through cross-regional cultural networks and brand matrices, forming a development model driven by both culture and economy. The research conclusions provide theoretical reference and practical experience for the planning and construction of immersive cultural and tourism projects, sustainable cultural development and innovation in urban governance.
