- Abstract
This paper focuses on the role of Susanna in Mozart’s opera The Marriage of Figaro and takes its classic cantata “A Wonderful Moment is Coming” as a specific research object. In-depth analysis of the important role of the cantata in shaping the image of the role of Susanna, from the music melody, rhythm, lyrics and other levels to explore how it fits with the character, emotion, mining the value of the cantata in the overall plot of the opera to promote the expression of emotions, and then to understand the role of Susanna as well as the artistic charm of The Marriage of Figaro to provide a unique perspective. This paper discusses the vocal techniques essential to performing the piece. Precise breath control and flexible adjustment of vocal resonance are crucial to interpreting the work. Stable breath support ensures a consistent and smooth melodic line. Additionally, dynamically adjusting the resonance cavity in response to changes in vocal range helps convey Susanna’s playfulness and sincerity.
