- Abstract
This study investigates the barriers to technology Integration in Chinese Language learning at Indonesian Higher education institutions. Technology has become increasingly essential in educational systems, and understanding instructors’ challenges is crucial for effective implementation. Through a qualitative case study approach, data were collected via semi-structured interviews with Chinese language instructors from various universities. The findings reveal three primary categories of barriers: technological issues, pedagogical constructions, and institutional support deficiencies. Specific challenges include limited access to appropriate technological tools, inadequate instructor training, and a lack of institutional encouragement for technology use in teaching. This research highlights the need for targeted strategies to overcome these barriers, emphasizing the importance of professional development and resource allocation. This study contributes to the understanding of technology integration in language education and offers recommendations for enhancing Chinese language instruction in Indonesian Universities.
