- Abstract
This study conducts a cross-cultural comparative analysis of foreign language listening anxiety. By elaborating on the definition, theoretical framework, and current research status of listening anxiety, this study reveals the key factors influencing learners’ foreign language listening anxiety. A combination of quantitative and qualitative research methods and representative sample data are used to compare the anxiety levels and characteristics of learners from different cultural backgrounds in detail. The research findings indicate that cultural background and individual experience significantly affect foreign language listening anxiety. On this basis, this study proposes specific strategies to reduce foreign language listening anxiety and enhance the effectiveness of cross-cultural teaching, providing new perspectives for future foreign language teaching and psychological research directions.
