Abstract

The Sichuan-Chongqing region is located in southwestern China, encompassing the Sichuan Basin and its surrounding areas. Its unique geographical location and rich historical and cultural heritage make it a region of great charm. Here, one can find magnificent natural landscapes, diverse ethnic cultures, and a long-standing historical legacy. The lifestyle and character traits of its people have gradually formed over time, developing into distinctive features. This area boasts both majestic mountains and rivers, fertile land, and abundant resources, earning it the title of ″Land of Abundance″ since ancient times. In recent years, the phenomenon of longevity has attracted widespread attention globally, with increasing research dedicated to exploring various factors influencing human lifespan. In the Sichuan-Chongqing region, the phenomenon of longevity is equally noteworthy, with a high number of centenarians and a long-standing tradition of longevity culture. From an academic perspective, interdisciplinary comprehensive research can provide a more comprehensive and in-depth explanation of the longevity phenomenon, enriching theoretical frameworks in geography, sociology, psychology, medicine, and other disciplines. In practical terms, it helps uncover the mysteries of longevity, offering valuable lessons for other regions, promoting and upholding the excellent cultural traditions of the Sichuan-Chongqing region, and enhancing awareness of healthy lifestyles.
