- Abstract
Anxiety disorders and PTSD place substantial burdens on individuals and healthcare systems. Traditional exposure therapy demonstrates efficacy but presents limitations in safety, ecological validity, and patient adherence. VRET leverages immersive 3D environments to provide controlled, repeatable exposure. This study evaluates the effects of a VRCHAT-based VRET intervention on symptom severity and adherence among users with acrophobia and generalized anxiety disorder.
