Abstract

Population aging and the Healthy China initiative shift the focus of longevity from life extension to healthy living and high-quality lifestyles. The integration of culture, tourism, and sports offers a sustainable mechanism for active aging. This approach promotes physical activity, psychological well-being, social interaction, cultural identity, and supportive environments compared to traditional medical care. This paper employs literature analysis and theoretical interpretation guided by active aging, health promotion, social support, and cultural identity theories. It constructs an analytical framework connecting culture-tourism-sports integration with multidimensional mechanisms and improved life quality. It indicates that this integration facilitates the transition of older adults from passive care to active health management. Older adults shift from single-service dependence to diversified participation and quality-of-life improvement through five core mechanisms. These mechanisms include physical health promotion, psychological well-being enhancement, social participation expansion, cultural identity reinforcement, and environmental optimization. However, major challenges remain in current practical development. These obstacles include mismatched supply and demand, inadequate age-friendly design, fragmented interdepartmental coordination, limited digital empowerment, and insufficient utilization of ethnic cultural resources. This paper proposes developing age-friendly products, improving multi-actor governance, activating ethnic cultural resources, building intelligent service platforms, and strengthening community-based participation. These findings broaden the interdisciplinary study of longevity. They provide references for age-friendly society construction, Healthy China implementation, and the high-quality development of culture, tourism, and sports in ethnic regions.
