Website: https://icmad.pipmakassar.ac.id/ The Third International Conference and Maritime Development (ICMaD 2024) is organized by Merchant Marine Polytechnic of Makassar, Indonesia. This conference serves as an avenue for graduate students, faculty members as well as researchers for intellectual exchange, collaboration, and dissemination of cutting-edge advancements in the domains of green shipping technology, sustainable energy, maritime innovation and sustainability technology,maritime engineering, maritime environmental protection, marine pollution, environmental care and pollution prevention, maritime law, and meteorology. This conference involved speakers and participants from several countries. There were six speakers from five different countries at this conference, including Prof. Dr. Paul Tae Woo Lee, from Ocean College, Zhejiang University, China; Prof. Dr. Aykut I. Ocler from Maritime Energy Management, World Maritime University, Swedia; Prof. Dr. Ir. I Made Ariana, S.T., M.T. from Sepuluh November Institute of Technology, Surabaya, Indonesia; and Prof. Prem Chhetri from RMIT University, Australia. With a diverse range of sessions, keynote presentations, and panel discussions, the Third International Conference and MaritimeDevelopment (ICMaD 2024) offers a comprehensive program that covers a wide spectrum of topics. Participants will engage in discussions and find solutions to challenges in developing environmentally friendly and energy-efficient shipping. Some of the challenges that will be discussed include air and sea pollution, excessive use of fossil fuels, and the impact of climate change. In this conference, it is hoped that there will be an exchange of knowledge and experience between experts, practitioners, and academics in the field of shipping. Apart from that, it is also hoped that collaboration will be formed to develop innovative and sustainable solutions. Through this conference, it is hoped that effective solutions can be found and can be implemented in the shipping industry to reduce negative impacts on the environment and increase energy efficiency. The Third International Conference and Maritime Development (ICMaD 2024) promises to be an enriching and enlightening event, bringing together the brightest minds and fostering a spirit of innovation and collaboration. It serves as a platform to inspire and motivate participants to push the boundaries of knowledge, driving progress in these critical fields for the betterment of society as a whole.
