This knowledge volume is the outcome of the theme-based papers presented on the International Conference on Marching Beyond the Libraries (ICMBL): Leadership, Creativity, and Innovation held at KIIT Deemed to be University, Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India, during 20–21 December 2024, where delegates presented papers physically.

The aim and scope of ICMBL 2024 was to encapsulate the dynamic evolution of libraries as crucial hubs of knowledge in the contemporary global landscape through leadership, creativity, and innovation. The thought-provoking theme was chosen with the purpose of reflecting the imperative for libraries to transcend traditional roles, embrace transformative leadership, foster creativity, and drive innovation in order to remain relevant and impactful in an ever-changing world.

In response to our invitation, there were overwhelming responses from academicians and practicing librarians from different parts of India and abroad for paper contribution, presentation and participation in this international conference. In the process, we received so many papers. Out of all received papers, the ICMBL 2024 advisory board recom-mended to publish only 20 theme-based papers in the post-conference proceedings to be published by Atlantis Press, part of Springer Nature.

We express sincere thanks to all the contributors who have taken a lot of pain to write papers in accordance with the publication policy and guidelines of ICMBL 2024. We also express thanks to our professional colleagues and friends who sent their papers to us but very unfortunately we could not place their papers in this volume due to their non-compliance with the reviewers’ comments.

This volume addresses key facets of leadership and innovation with regard to current trends in library and information management systems and services in the era of digital librarianship. Hope this post-conference proceedings will be very much useful for practicing librarians, LIS faculty members, students, and research scholars of various institutions all across the globe.
