Abstract

The water rescue operations have always faced numerous challenges, such as complex environments and long response times, while the emergence of intelligent UAV systems has brought new opportunities for water rescue. This article reviews the technologies and applications of intelligent UAV systems in water rescue. In terms of technology, it focuses on the latest advancements in key areas such as path planning and navigation technology, communication and data transmission technology, perception and recognition technology, as well as energy management and endurance technology. Regarding applications, it discusses the practical applications of intelligent UAV systems in rapid response and positioning, logistics deployment and support, collaborative operations and swarm applications, demonstrating significant advantages in improving rescue efficiency and success rates. Additionally, it analyzes the future development trends and challenges faced by intelligent drone systems in water rescue, including issues related to regulations and supervision, technological reliability, costs, and benefits. The prospects for the application of intelligent drone systems in water rescue are also anticipated.
