Abstract

This system, centered on the YOLOv8 algorithm and designed for UAV platforms, enables efficient identification and positioning of small-sized, long-distance targets in high-altitude environments, with broad applicability in military reconnaissance, civilian inspections, disaster relief, and other scenarios. It features robust real-time detection capabilities, quickly and accurately recognizing various target objects in complex high-altitude environments. The system has a comprehensive user registration and login module, a multi-level permission management mechanism to ensure data security and user privacy, multiple target detection modes covering common military targets, civilian infrastructure, and emergency rescue-related objects, allowing users to choose according to specific task needs, and a customizable parameter adjustment function enabling users to optimize detection effects by adjusting key parameters such as the confidence threshold of the detection algorithm based on actual scenarios. Experimental results show that the system performs well in detection accuracy and real-time. It maintains high detection accuracy and low false alarm rates in various complex environments and meets the strict real-time requirements of UAV platforms, making it suitable for high-altitude UAV target detection tasks and providing reliable technical support and solutions for related applications.
