Abstract

The research aims to profile the interaction of information literacy and critical evaluation: assessing claims and assessing arguments on teaching materials for ecosystem materials in schools. This research is a descriptive qualitative with indicator reduction. The reduced indicators totalled 139. The research procedure was carried out by confirming the content of teaching materials according to the reduced indicators. The confirmation results are presented in percentage form. The percentage results of the interaction indicators of information literacy and critical evaluation: assessing claims and assessing arguments in the teaching materials are the lowest interaction of information literacy-present with assessing claims (PAC) with an average of 0.5359%, and the highest interaction is the interaction of information literacy-identify with assessing arguments (IAA) with an average aspect of 4.6763%. Overall, the interaction of information literacy with critical evaluation still needs to improve, so meeting the needs of 21st-century thinking process standards requires improvements in existing teaching materials in schools.
