- Abstract
As the aging problem in our country becomes increasingly severe, preliminary research indicates that most elderly individuals prefer to receive care at home. This trend suggests that in the future, only children will bear the pressure of caring for two elderly individuals, which may lead to accidents such as falls in their daily lives. To address this challenge, this study has designed a plan that combines the elderly care system with smart wristbands, which can alleviate the pressure on children caring for elderly individuals at home and enhance the safety level of elderly care at home. Specifically, the plan enables non-regular health monitoring through the wristbands worn by the elderly, and sends the sampled and analyzed health data to their children and community staff. In the event of an accident such as a fall, the wristband will automatically contact family members and dial emergency services, thereby creating a safer and more suitable living environment for the elderly.
