The 2025 6th International Conference on Management Science and Engineering Management (ICMSEM 2025) was successfully held in Dalian, China, from June 6 to 8, 2025. Against the backdrop of accelerating technological transformation and evolving management paradigms, the conference served as a vibrant academic nexus for the global exchange of theories, methods, and empirical insights in both management science and engineering practice. The event brought together a diverse assembly of scholars, practitioners, and policy researchers, reflecting the growing urgency to bridge innovation and management in an increasingly complex and data-driven world.

This year’s conference attracted over 150 participants and received 216 paper submissions from researchers across academia and industry. Following a rigorous peer-review process, 126 papers were accepted for presentation and inclusion in the proceedings, covering a broad spectrum of interdisciplinary inquiries. The accepted contributions reflected not only methodological rigor but also a strong orientation toward real-world challenges and strategic foresight.

A major highlight of ICMSEM 2025 was its keynote and invited speeches, which collectively offered a rich and layered perspective on the evolution of management and engineering thought. Prof. Mohammad S. Obaidat (The University of Jordan) offered a forward-looking address that explored the integration of intelligent systems into organizational and infrastructural contexts. Prof. Qingyu Zhang (Shenzhen University) examined the confluence of data science and managerial decision-making, illuminating critical issues in digital governance. Prof. Teh Ying Wah (University Malaya) contributed valuable insights into AI-enhanced operational strategies and the shifting landscape of organizational adaptability. Prof. Xiongfeng Pan (Dalian University of Technology) addressed urban engineering and systems optimization, emphasizing the managerial implications of large-scale infrastructure design. Assoc. Prof. Pin Li (Xi’an University of Science and Technology) discussed emerging approaches in industrial safety and digital transformation. In addition, the invited speech by Prof. Dhanalakshmi Arumugam (Acharya Bangalore B School) brought a fresh international perspective on strategic leadership and human capital development in cross-cultural business contexts.

The thematic richness of the conference was evident in the range of topics covered. Discussions spanned economic management, enterprise strategy, digital and big data management, public governance, safety systems, and organizational behavior, as well as engineering domains such as project planning, logistics and supply chain management, systems engineering, industrial safety, and urban infrastructure. Scholars engaged critically with both classical models and emerging paradigms, reflecting a shared concern for resilience, sustainability, and innovation in management and engineering systems.

ICMSEM 2025 thus provided a timely and rigorous platform for intellectual exchange, encouraging interdisciplinary dialogue and forward-thinking inquiry. The insights shared at the conference will undoubtedly inform future research trajectories, industry practices, and policy development in the years to come.

The Organizing Committee would like to extend its heartfelt appreciation to all authors, reviewers, keynote and invited speakers, and attendees for their invaluable contributions to the academic and professional success of ICMSEM 2025.
